A perilous, violent love triangle unfolds over a Turkish Riviera vacation between a young Danish girl, her possessive drug lord boyfriend, and the free-spirited, yacht-owning Dutch traveller she flirts with.

Holiday brings the audience into the world of men, where everything happens on the man’s terms and where material luxuries come at a steep price. Where the classical gangster films show the world through the eyes of men, Holiday turns the story around without averting its gaze. Here the woman is the center of a group of trophy-hunting, psychopathic men, in an environment that is scarily close to reality.

Holiday is the debut film of Swedish director Isabella Eklöf. She is also known as one of the writers on Border by Ali Abbasi. Holiday premiered at the Sundance Film Festival I 2018 and was elected in the main competition at Gothenburg Film Festival. With a striking visual expression and incredible performances, this film is without a doubt one of the strongest Scandinavian debuts in a long time.
